Facility Needs

42.8.523 Renovation/Addition - Studies / Planning A majority of the buildings systems have now passed their useful life and many systemic projects are needed to keep the school operational. Project Description Per the approved feasibility study, proceed with Option Three - Major Renovation/Addition 42.10.455 Site - Paving / Parking Lots There are safety concerns regarding the existing front parking lot that contains many functions including student, staff & visitor parking, car drop off and pick-up as well as the bus loop all combined in one area with a single entrance & exit. Project Description Redevelop the existing parking area and expand as needed to separate the bus loop, parking and car drop-off & pick-up functions. 42.05.137 Special Initiatives - Science (Look of the Future) State initiative to upgrade and modernize science classrooms in all high schools for the next century. Project Description These funds would allow for the design and renovation of the existing science facilities. 42.06.299 Systemic Renovation - HVAC In 2021 the facility will be 40 years removed from its last renovation and the existing HVAC equipment will have out lived its useful lifespan. Project Description The classroom unit vents have been identified as needing replacement due to significant repairs. Project includes the replacement of classroom unit vents (approximately 36+) and includes upgrading and/or extension of ATC controls as needed with a more energy efficient system.
