Private and Home School Analysis

PRIVATE SCHOOLS & HOME SCHOOLING WCPS is currently tracking fifteen (15) private schools and their associated enrollments in conjunction with registered home school students in order to address any potential related public school capacity issues. A large portion of the home school students are of elementary age (41%). The total home school population for ‘19-’20 was 512. The breakdown for middle and high school percentages were 35% and 24%. Over the course of the last three years, private school enrollments have increased apprximately 30 students (see figure 4). After increasing last year, home school numbers have once again decreased. (see figure 5).
