OVERVIEW

FACILITY NEEDS SECTIONS The supporting data provided throughout the EFMP in conjunction with previous capital improvement plan (CIP) priorities, provide a glimpse of the current status of WCPS facilities and becomes an effective tool to help guide and direct future work with regard to our school facilities. The Facility Needs chapter of this report is divided into two main sections. The ‘General Planning Guidelines” section and the “Future Facility Needs” section. The projects listed within this section are indicative of what capital projects may be undertaken during the upcoming fiscal year and the subsequent 5-8 projected years should adequate funding be available. These 10-15 chosen projects are most critical, however, they are only a small sample of the 75+ identified projects that can be found listed within the EFMP. To see all identified projects review the Facility Need Report - by School, which can be found behind each schools scorecard in the Facility Inventory section of the EFMP. GENERAL PLANNING GUIDELINES This section provides general planning guidelines that influence the approach to and implementation of most facility projects. FUTURE FACILITY NEEDS This section is broken down into two sub-sections:

Projected Enrollment : This sub-section deals with the overcrowding issues that are identified within the Enrollment & Capacity section of the EFMP. Capital Expenditure Project Categories: This sub-section deals with the issues identified within the Facility Inventory section of the EFMP.
