STAFFING RATIOS & ORGANIZATION PATTERNS

STAFFING RATIOS Wicomico County Board of Education advocates a small student-teacher ratio using the following staffing ratio guidelines: • Pre-K 20 • Primary (Kindergarten-3) 25 • Intermediate (4-5) 27 • Secondary (6-12) 27 ORGANIZATIONAL PATTERNS Elementary schools have a variety of organizational patterns (see below). Middle schools are organized Grades 6-8. High schools are organized Grades 9-12. Organization patterns for the individual schools follow: • Beaver Run Elementary PreK-2 • Bennett Middle 6-8 • Chipman Elementary PreK-1 • Delmar Elementary PreK-4 • East Salisbury Elementary 3-5 • Fruitland Primary PreK-2 • Fruitland Intermediate 3-5 • Glen Avenue Elementary 2-5 • James M. Bennett High 9-12 • Mardela Middle/High 6-12 • North Salisbury Elementary 3-5 • Northwestern Elementary PreK-5 • Parkside High 9-12 • Pemberton Elementary PreK-5 • Pinehurst Elementary PreK-5 • Pittsville Elementary/Middle 4-8 • Prince Street Elementary PreK-5 • Salisbury Middle 6-8 • West Salisbury Elementary PreK-2 • Westside Primary PreK-1 • Westside Intermediate 2-5 • Wicomico Middle 6-8 • Wicomico High 9-12 • Willards Elementary PreK-3 OTHER • Wicomico Early Learning Center 3 and 4 year old Pre-Kindergarten (Judy Hoyer Program for students of Beaver Run School only) • Choices 6–12 (Students administratively assigned) * Special Education and health related services are provided in all schools as per the individualized education programs of students with disabilities.
