Student Transportation Policy

I. Purpose The purpose of this policy is to establish the protocol by which the Wicomico County Board of Education (WCBOE) governs the transportation of students through its Department of Transportation Services. II. Policy The purpose of the Department of Transportation Services is to provide a safe, efficient, and economical method of transporting students to and from school. WCBOE will furnish school bus transportation to all elementary and secondary school pupils who are eligible as established by WCBOE and in accordance with Maryland State Board of Education, COMAR 13A.06.07, and applicable Maryland vehicle laws pursuant to procedures established by the Superintendent of Schools.
